OHIO’s FINEST BASKETBALL STARS HONORED AT 3RD ANNUAL INDUCTION CEREMONY!
22 players, coaches, teams, and officials to be inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame

Columbus, OH - On Saturday May 17th, 2008 at 7:00 pm 22 nominated basketball legends will be inducted into the 3rd annual Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame & Museum. This unforgettable evening of basketball history will take place at the Columbus Convention Center and will consist of a sit-down dinner followed by the induction ceremony.

Among the 2008 inductees is coach, Bobby Huggins, which has had 15 NCAA Tournament appearances and winning 13 regular season conference titles, earning him a place in the Hall of Fame and Museum. Herb Williams an OSU Alum and former NBA player and Jim Cleamons another OSU Alum was voted MAC player of the decade for the 80’s are just a couple more from this years induction class. These exceptional athletes will be joining previous inductees such as Bobby Knight, Jim & John Paxon, and the list goes on.

Bobby Huggins, a born leader, just added to his long list of achievements in his basketball career. Making an appearance in the NCAA tournament, Huggins took his team to the sweet sixteen facing Xavier. Finishing with a strong record of 26-11 Huggins ended with a great season.

When Don Henderson, Executive Board Member, was asked what the most memorable part of the past 2 years induction ceremony he replied: “Being able to hear Bobby Knight and Don Donoher tell what their career highs and lows were while being a part of the greater game of basketball. We encourage the young and old to participate in the 3rd annual induction ceremony and be apart of Ohio basketball history.”

Fans from all over Ohio are given the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of each of these extraordinary individuals. During the induction ceremony these loyal fans will be given a chance to talk, support and interact with their favorite basketball heroes. This extraordinary evening will present an opportunity to contribute in preserving the history of Ohio basketball.
