High-scoring guard from Bellaire who made All-Big Ten three times (1971-73) and received All-America recognition twice (1972-73) while playing for Ohio State. Was the Buckeyes’ leading scorer three straight years, averaging 22.5, 21.6 and 24 points. His career average was 22.8. Member of the 1971 Big Ten championship team along with Jim Cleamons, Luke Witte, Mark Minor and Mark Wagar. Had a brilliant prep career from 1965-69 at St. John High School where he led the nation in scoring in his junior and senior years. Averaged 42 points per game, scoring 86 in a game against Tiltonsville Warren Consolidated in 1969.
